For millions of years,
We shine and we live,
Even in our darkest nights,
It’s our brightness, what we give.
But for who, we wonder,
This brightness matters?

Is it for those, who are together,
Or for those, whose hearts wander.
Maybe we remind you of someone,
That’s why people give us names,
Especially when it’s somebody close to you,
That’s our two minutes of fame.
We think we’re useless,
As the moon takes up its stride,
For all the brightness it boasts,
We swallow up our pride.
But there lies a difference,
We both have our purpose,
While the moon Shines for itself,
We shine for the rest of us.
And that’s why, moon,
We can never compare,
shine all bright you want,
We can hardly care,
Its about time, you stopped being selfish,
Learn from us : even when we die, we give out a wish.
