I poured myself some whiskey tonight – to help me pass the night alright.

The cold breeze makes me feel a little less lonely. Makes me feel like I’m part of something. The trees swaying, clouds dancing showing a glimpse of the stars through their dark overcast.

I feel like I belong, since maybe, maybe the wind that touches me was with you a week back, and brings me your warmth wrapped in its cold self. Maybe, it goes from me to a loved one, or even better, someone who needs love in this sad time of the world, someone who’s trying to get the warmth from that half burnt cigarette, or that undiluted whiskey, someone who just needs to be held.

Maybe this breeze touches us all in a way that makes us feel okay in the end. Okay to shed a tear. OK to cry. Maybe that’s what the clouds want too. Maybe that’s what’ they’re doing, too.

I poured myself some whiskey tonight, to help me pass the night alright.
